Our Story

20 Years of Construction, One Accountable Team

Our adventure into the South African construction industry began more than 20 years ago. From the start, the idea was simple: provide both construction and project management services under one roof, so that clients always knew who was accountable and never had to chase two different companies to get answers.

From large-scale commercial projects down to small home renovations, TreadstoneCPM has served on every size of project — always with a focus on bringing clients the best possible result that maximises value and minimises the inherent pressures of a build. The principle hasn’t changed: superior quality, professional service, and a lasting relationship once the project is finished.

Today we operate from Glentana, Great Brak River, and we serve the full Garden Route. What started as a specialised team has grown to cover construction, roofing, waterproofing, concrete, civil engineering and rope access — but the commitment to fixed schedules, written guarantees, and one accountable point of contact is exactly the same.

One contract. One programme. One accountable delivery team from site establishment to handover.

What We Deliver

Every Trade Under One Team

Every trade your project needs under one contract, one programme, and one accountable project manager from site establishment through to handover.

Construction & Project Management

Residential, commercial and turnkey construction managed end-to-end. JBCC or PBA contracts, NHBRC enrolled home building, and a single point of contact from plans through handover.

Roofing, Waterproofing & Concrete

Specialist trades delivered by in-house teams — new roofs, repairs, torch-on and liquid waterproofing, slabs, driveways, foundations, retaining walls. Engineered, compliant, guaranteed.

Civil Engineering & Rope Access

Earthworks, layerworks, roads, stormwater and water reticulation built to SANS 1200. IRATA rope access for inspection, NDT, welding, coating and offshore work delivered across South Africa.

Compliance & Credentials

Built to the Right Standards

TreadstoneCPM is registered with the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) as an enrolled home builder. NHBRC enrolment is a legal requirement for any new home build in South Africa and provides clients with a 5-year structural warranty on the completed home.

Our work is delivered to SANS 10400 and the National Building Regulations, with civil works to the SANS 1200 series. We work under standard South African contract forms — JBCC Principal Building Agreement, JBCC Minor Works, and PBA — and carry public liability insurance and contractors all-risks cover appropriate to each project.

For rope access work we operate under the IRATA International framework, with all technicians holding current IRATA certification and complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act) and the General Machinery Regulations.

About TreadstoneCPM

Questions Clients Ask

How long has TreadstoneCPM been in the construction industry?

TreadstoneCPM is built on more than 20 years of South African construction industry experience. The team has delivered residential renovations, new home builds, commercial work and civil projects across the Garden Route and further afield — and the same principles we started with (one accountable team, written guarantees, fixed programme) still run every job we take on.

Where is TreadstoneCPM based, and where do you work?

Our head office is in Glentana, between George and Mossel Bay, on the Garden Route. For construction, roofing, waterproofing, concrete and civil work we cover George, Wilderness, Mossel Bay, Great Brak River, Glentana, Sedgefield, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and the surrounding Western Cape Garden Route. Our rope access division operates nationally across South Africa, sub-Saharan Africa and offshore.

Is TreadstoneCPM NHBRC registered?

Yes. TreadstoneCPM is an enrolled home builder with the NHBRC (National Home Builders Registration Council), which is a legal requirement for any new home build in South Africa and carries a 5-year structural warranty on completed homes. Proof of enrolment is supplied at quoting stage on request.

Do you use in-house teams or subcontractors?

The core trades — project management, site management, roofing, waterproofing, concrete, civil earthworks and rope access — are delivered by in-house TreadstoneCPM teams. Specialist work (structural engineering, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is delivered by long-standing trade partners we’ve worked with for years, under our contract and our quality control.

What makes TreadstoneCPM different from other Garden Route builders?

One accountable team for construction AND project management, everything in writing before we start (price, programme, guarantees, scope), standard JBCC or PBA contracts, proper NHBRC and SANS compliance, and a single point of contact for the life of the project. No hand-offs, no finger-pointing, no surprises on the final invoice.

Do you handle building plan submissions and council approvals?

Yes — we can handle the full plan submission to George Municipality (or the relevant Garden Route authority), SANS 10400 compliance, and liaison with council through to occupancy certificate. Or we work with your own architect and engineer if you already have a team in place.

What contract forms does TreadstoneCPM use?

Standard South African building contracts — JBCC Principal Building Agreement for larger works, JBCC Minor Works for smaller scopes, and PBA (Principal Building Agreement) where appropriate. We do not work on vague one-page letters of intent — every job has a proper contract with scope, price, programme and guarantees written in.
