About TreadstoneCPM
Questions Clients Ask
How long has TreadstoneCPM been in the construction industry?
TreadstoneCPM is built on more than 20 years of South African construction industry experience. The team has delivered residential renovations, new home builds, commercial work and civil projects across the Garden Route and further afield — and the same principles we started with (one accountable team, written guarantees, fixed programme) still run every job we take on.
Where is TreadstoneCPM based, and where do you work?
Our head office is in Glentana, between George and Mossel Bay, on the Garden Route. For construction, roofing, waterproofing, concrete and civil work we cover George, Wilderness, Mossel Bay, Great Brak River, Glentana, Sedgefield, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and the surrounding Western Cape Garden Route. Our rope access division operates nationally across South Africa, sub-Saharan Africa and offshore.
Is TreadstoneCPM NHBRC registered?
Yes. TreadstoneCPM is an enrolled home builder with the NHBRC (National Home Builders Registration Council), which is a legal requirement for any new home build in South Africa and carries a 5-year structural warranty on completed homes. Proof of enrolment is supplied at quoting stage on request.
Do you use in-house teams or subcontractors?
The core trades — project management, site management, roofing, waterproofing, concrete, civil earthworks and rope access — are delivered by in-house TreadstoneCPM teams. Specialist work (structural engineering, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is delivered by long-standing trade partners we’ve worked with for years, under our contract and our quality control.
What makes TreadstoneCPM different from other Garden Route builders?
One accountable team for construction AND project management, everything in writing before we start (price, programme, guarantees, scope), standard JBCC or PBA contracts, proper NHBRC and SANS compliance, and a single point of contact for the life of the project. No hand-offs, no finger-pointing, no surprises on the final invoice.
Do you handle building plan submissions and council approvals?
Yes — we can handle the full plan submission to George Municipality (or the relevant Garden Route authority), SANS 10400 compliance, and liaison with council through to occupancy certificate. Or we work with your own architect and engineer if you already have a team in place.
What contract forms does TreadstoneCPM use?
Standard South African building contracts — JBCC Principal Building Agreement for larger works, JBCC Minor Works for smaller scopes, and PBA (Principal Building Agreement) where appropriate. We do not work on vague one-page letters of intent — every job has a proper contract with scope, price, programme and guarantees written in.
