Decorative & Exposed Aggregate Finishes
Exposed aggregate, coloured concrete, stamped concrete, and broom finishes — finishes other George contractors don’t offer.
Repair & Resurfacing
Cracked driveways, spalling slabs, and damaged surfaces — assessed honestly, then either patched, resurfaced, or replaced depending on what is actually wrong.
Why George Chooses TreadstoneCPM Concrete
A contractor, not a supplier
Mini Mix is the local concrete supplier. We are the contractor that builds with it. We own the formwork, the rebar, the placing, the finishing, and the guarantee — all in one accountable team.
Reinforced and engineered
Concrete without proper rebar is just expensive cracking waiting to happen. Every structural job we do is reinforced to spec and signed off where SANS 10400 needs it.
Decorative finishes available
Exposed aggregate, coloured concrete, and stamped finishes — the finishes most George concrete crews simply don’t offer. If you want something better than a grey slab, we can do it.
How a Concrete Job Works at TreadstoneCPM
- Site visit & measure — We come out, take measurements, check soil and access, and confirm what the job actually needs.
- Written quote — Line-item quote — excavation, sub-base, formwork, rebar, concrete supply, placing, finishing, and VAT — within two working days.
- Set out & prepare — Excavation, sub-base preparation and compaction, formwork set, rebar tied to drawing, and inspection before the pour.
- Pour & finish — Concrete delivered to spec, placed, vibrated, screeded, and finished — broom, steel trowel, exposed aggregate, or whatever the brief calls for.
- Cure & sign-off — Curing managed for the first few days so the slab gains strength properly. Hand-over with photos and any engineer’s certificate the council needs.
Concrete Questions George Homeowners Ask
Can a general contractor handle concrete work, or do I need a specialist concrete contractor?
TreadstoneCPM is both — an NHBRC general contractor with in-house concrete crews. For large structural pours, complex formwork, or engineered slabs we run it ourselves rather than subcontracting, so the specification and finish are controlled.
What concrete strength (MPa) do you use?
Standard 25–30 MPa for slabs, driveways and pavements; structural 30–40 MPa for foundations, columns and beams; engineer-specified mix where the project requires it. All pours come with delivery notes and cube-test results on request.
Do you supply ready-mix or mix on site?
Both — ready-mix from a batch plant for volume pours and quality consistency; on-site mixing for smaller jobs or tight-access sites in George and the Garden Route.
Can you do exposed aggregate, stamped or decorative concrete finishes?
Yes — exposed aggregate, broom finish, power-trowel, stamped patterns, integral colour and sealing. Samples available before final pour.
How long before I can walk on or drive over new concrete?
Foot traffic 24–48 hours, light vehicle traffic after 7 days, full design strength at 28 days. We mark off the area until it is safe to use.
Do you handle small residential concrete jobs?
Yes — from a single garage slab or patio up to commercial slab pours, foundations and retaining walls. No job too small.
What standards do you work to?
SANS 10100 for structural concrete, SANS 1200 for civil concrete works, and engineer’s specification where applicable. All reinforcement to SANS 920.
Do you give a guarantee on concrete work?
Yes — written workmanship guarantee covering finish, crack control and surface tolerances per SANS. Cube-test results provided for structural pours.
