What We Do

The three rockfall protection scopes we deliver.

New Rockfall Barrier Installation

Dynamic rockfall barriers and flexible debris-flow barriers installed to OEM spec — posts, cables, interception meshes, energy dissipators and anchorages. Typical OEMs: Maccaferri and Geobrugg.

Drapery & Catch Fence Systems

Passive drapery meshes and catch fences on rock cuttings to retain loose material and guide fall direction. Double-twist or high-tensile mesh, anchored and stitched per the design.

Inspection & Maintenance

Routine and post-event inspection of existing rockfall protection systems — anchor integrity, cable tension, mesh damage, debris accumulation, and repair recommendations.

How It Works

Site survey and scope. We survey the slope or cutting, understand the risk (loose rock, debris flow, snow — in some regions), and work with the geotechnical engineer on the appropriate system type and energy rating.
OEM design validation. Design validated by the manufacturer (Maccaferri / Geobrugg) against the energy and trajectory conditions. Installation manual governs the build.
Anchorage installation. Rock or soil anchors drilled, grouted, and tested per the design — the barrier is only as good as the anchors.
System assembly. Posts erected, cables tensioned, mesh hung and stitched, energy dissipators fitted — all by IRATA-certified rope technicians working from rope on steep slopes.
Acceptance and handover. Joint inspection with the engineer, acceptance record, OEM installation certificate, and maintenance plan handed over.

Common Questions

Which OEM systems do you install?

We work with Maccaferri (drapery, Steelgrid, rockfall barriers) and Geobrugg (GBE series flexible barriers, TECCO mesh, and catch fences). Selection is driven by the engineer’s design and the site conditions, not a preferred supplier.

How do you inspect after a rockfall event?

Post-event inspection checks anchors, cables, mesh, posts and energy dissipators for damage. We report on repair scope, priority, and an updated maintenance plan. Post-event is when catch fences prove their value — and when hidden damage has to be found.

Can you do the geotechnical design as well?

We don’t do the engineering ourselves — we partner with geotechnical engineers for design. What we do is the full installation and the liaison with the OEM on spec and installation compliance. See our geotechnical rope access page for related services.

Do you maintain existing barriers?

Yes — routine inspections, debris removal, anchor re-tensioning, mesh patching, and component replacement. Many road authorities and mining clients contract us for annual barrier inspection and maintenance.
