What We Do

Three wind turbine scopes we deliver.

Blade Inspection

Close-visual blade inspection on rope — leading edge erosion, lightning strike damage, bond line defects, and surface cracks — with photo reports and severity classification for the asset manager.

Blade Repair & Leading Edge Protection

In-situ blade repair including composite lay-up, leading edge protection tape or coating application, and filler repairs. Executed to the OEM or independent engineer’s repair procedure, with QC records.

Tower, Hub & Nacelle Support

Bolt torque checks, external cleaning, hub and nacelle external maintenance, and coating touch-ups on the tower and tip-down equipment — scopes that otherwise need crane time.

How It Works

  1. Campaign planning. We plan the campaign with the wind farm operator — turbine list, defect severity, weather windows, and SCADA data for bring-back time after each intervention.
  2. GWO & rescue readiness. All technicians hold current GWO BST (Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid, Fire Awareness) plus IRATA. Tower rescue plan in place for every turbine.
  3. Turbine-by-turbine execution. Turbine stopped, yawed, blade parked, hub access. Technicians rope down the blade, execute the scope, and the turbine is returned to service before moving to the next.
  4. QC & reporting. Every repair documented with photos, materials used, cure times, and sign-off by the technician. Campaign report to the operator with recommendations for the next inspection cycle.

Common Questions

Do your technicians hold GWO?

Yes — every wind tech on our crew holds current GWO BST in addition to IRATA. We can provide the GWO register to the operator before mobilisation.

Can you do leading edge protection application?

Yes — we apply LEP tapes and sprayable coatings per the manufacturer’s specification, with cure tracking and QC photos. The correct LEP system depends on the blade and the environment; we work to what the asset manager or OEM specifies.

How many turbines per day?

Depends on the scope. A simple inspection can run 2–3 turbines per day per crew. Repair work runs slower — 1 turbine per day per crew for serious leading edge or bond line repair is typical. We plan based on the scope.

Do you work in weather windows?

Yes. Wind, rain and lightning all stop rope work on turbines. We plan campaigns around local weather and have contingency for lost days. Operators get daily weather updates and revised programmes when needed.
