What We Do
The three reticulation scopes we deliver most often.
Water Reticulation
HDPE and uPVC water mains, service connections, valve chambers, air valves, and fire hydrants. Installed to SANS 1200 LB, pressure-tested, and chlorinated before commissioning.
Sewer Reticulation
Gravity sewer mains, manholes, house connections, and rising mains. Laid to gradient per the engineer’s drawings, jointed correctly, and tested for leaks before backfill.
Connections & Upgrades
New connections into existing municipal infrastructure, upgrades to aging reticulation, and abandonment of disused lines. Coordinated with the municipality where required.
How It Works
- Design and approvals. Work starts from the civil engineer’s design. We confirm municipal sign-off and any wayleave approvals required before breaking ground.
- Set-out and excavation. Accurate set-out from the drawings, service checks to avoid existing utilities, and trenching to the specified depth. Trench safety compliant with OHS.
- Bedding and laying. Pipes bedded on granular material, laid to correct gradient, and jointed per manufacturer spec. Every section inspected by the engineer or the clerk of works before backfill.
- Testing. Water mains pressure-tested to spec and held. Sewer lines air-tested or water-tested per requirement. Test results recorded for the engineer’s file.
- Backfill, surface reinstatement, handover. Selected backfill in layers, surface reinstated to match existing, as-built drawings issued, and handover with the written workmanship guarantee.
Common Questions
Do you install house connections?
Yes — new connections from the municipal main to the erf boundary, house connections within the property, and meter installations. We coordinate with the municipality for the tap-in where required.
What about pressure testing?
Every water main we install is pressure-tested to spec and held for the required duration. Failures are found and fixed before backfill, not after. Test results are signed off and handed over.
Can you work in existing roads and servitudes?
Yes. We handle road opening permits, traffic accommodation, service identification (existing water, electrical, gas, fibre) and reinstatement. We work inside active suburbs regularly.
Do you do both sewer and water on the same project?
Yes — most reticulation projects include both. We programme them together efficiently, keeping the trenches and plant on site only as long as needed.
